We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team at Adventhealth Central Texas. This is a per diem opportunity that offers flexibility and variety in your work schedule.

About the Role

As an X-Ray Technologist, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures using CT scanners and other medical equipment. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Performing X-ray and CT scans on patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics
  • Operating medical equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and other medical devices
  • Screening patients for contrast allergies and ensuring proper identification before performing exams
  • Maintaining radiation protection standards and adhering to ALARA principles
  • Assisting physicians with interventional/biopsy procedures and acute emergencies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's degree or Technical degree in a related field (Radiologic Technology)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • A.R.R.T. registration and MRT Texas license as required by state
  • Certification in CT from the ARRT (preferable)
