Pharmacist (Full or Part Time) - Retail Pharmacy

Walgreens is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacist (Full or Part Time) to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, managing pharmacy operations, and promoting health and wellness in our communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and patient outcomes services
• Manage pharmacy operations, including prescription filling, verification, and records management
• Develop and maintain good relationships with local medical communities, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers
• Participate in community outreach activities to promote the pharmacy business and enhance growth opportunities
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure efficient workflow and optimize pharmacy financials, inventory management, and patient experience
• Maintain current knowledge of information technology associated with pharmacy systems, including workflow, prescription fulfillment, billing, clinical documentation, training, inventory management, and point of sale registers
• Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims and resolve patient issues in a timely manner
• Participate in 3rd-party audits and follow up with insurance companies and medical providers as needed
Requirements:
• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district
• Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
• At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance
