Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at the Mobile County Personnel Board. As a Veterinary Technician, you will provide technical assistance to veterinarians and play a crucial role in maintaining the health and safety of animals in our care.

• Provide technical assistance to veterinarians in routine manual work
• Assist in maintaining and improving the quality of care, health, and safety of animals
• Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on animal welfare
• Collaborate with other staff members to achieve team goals

• Graduation from a standard senior high school or successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test
• Minimum of one year experience as a veterinary technician or assistant, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements
• Current licensure as a Veterinary Technician from the Alabama State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, or five years of experience as a non-licensed Veterinary Technician and the ability to obtain certification as a Euthanasia Technician in the State of Alabama within one year of employment
