Job Summary: Scranton Chevrolet of Norwich is seeking an Experienced GM Service Tech to be part of our dynamic team in Norwich, Connecticut. This is a full-time position within the auto industry, with a focus on providing exceptional service to our customers. As the Experienced GM Service Tech, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles in compliance with factory and dealership standards, ensuring customer satisfaction. This individual contributor role offers a competitive compensation package and an opportunity for growth within the company.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues with vehicles and determine appropriate repairs
  • Effectively use diagnostic equipment and technical information systems to efficiently troubleshoot and repair vehicles
  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and tune-ups
  • Accurately record diagnoses and repairs in electronic systems and communicate findings to service advisors and customers
  • Ensure all repairs and services are completed within estimated time frames and meet dealership quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
  • Continuously expand knowledge and skills through ongoing training and certification programs
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional and positive demeanor at all times
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a GM Service Technician
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance processes, including proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
