Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Associate to join our team at Saint Peter's Healthcare System. This role plays a vital part in providing high-quality patient care, working closely with our professional nursing staff to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities, patient transfers, and discharges while monitoring basic physiological parameters as delegated by the RN.
  • Provide age-specific care as directed by the RN, participating in planning and evaluation of patient care through effective communication of all relevant information.
  • Deliver direct patient care according to individualized Plans of Care, tailored to the needs of patients across various age groups.
  • Be knowledgeable of emergency procedures and provide for patient hygiene, comfort, and safety.
  • Report any necessary information or unusual occurrences of an urgent nature as they develop.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of at least one of the following: Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician, or Certified Medical Assistant Training Program; one semester of nursing fundamentals, or Saint Peter's PCT Training Program.
  • Previous related experience or EMT certification.
