Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electromagnetic Defense Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. This role will be responsible for designing and testing systems to ensure TEMPEST compliance.

The ideal candidate will have experience with design and testing for TEMPEST security, as well as knowledge of electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) and TEMPEST testing protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct TEMPEST testing in accordance with NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92 and CNSSAM TEMPEST 01-02
  • Support the program's TEMPEST SME – participating in frequent customer interactions
  • Assist in the development of the TEMPEST Control Plan
  • Develop TEMPEST test plans and test procedures
  • Review TEMPEST testing results
  • Provide consultation on TEMPEST best practices with various Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Software discipline from an accredited university; 0 Years with Master's
  • General understanding of some of the following TEMPEST Specs: NSTISSAM TEMPEST 1/92, CNSSAM TEMPEST 1-13, CNSSAM TEMPEST 01-02, AMSG 720B, AMSG 788A, AMSG 784, BTR:01:210, NATO SDIP-27
  • Understanding of how to ensure systems and equipment meet NSTISSAM TEMPEST 1/92, CNSSAM TEMPEST 1-13, CNSSAM TEMPEST 01-02 and other TEMPEST requirements
  • A US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years

Salary Information

This position offers a competitive salary range of $83,300 - $124,900 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience. Additionally, you may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and Long Term Incentives.
