Experienced Vascular Surgeon for Critical Staffing Program

About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Vascular Surgeon to join our Critical Staffing Program. The selected candidate will represent International SOS and provide high-quality vascular surgery services to meet the needs of our clients. This position requires excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in diverse environments.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive clinical vascular surgery services, including operative procedures, intraoperative follow-up, postoperative care, and discharge education. Additionally, they will communicate test results, manage medications, and perform administrative tasks as required. Direct patient care accounts for 95% of work performance, with responsibilities including clinic coverage, surgery coverage, 24/7 on-call coverage, and remote consultations.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, applicants must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalent from an accredited institution. They must also possess a current, full, and unrestricted license in one or more states, commonwealths, territories, or DC. Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Surgery is highly desirable, along with certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or equivalent. A DEA license and previous VA or military experience are also preferred.
Physical Requirements and Other Special Qualifications
The ideal candidate must be able to work in a typical interior/clinic environment, sitting and standing for prolonged periods. They may be required to bend, stoop, and lift up to 25 lbs. US citizenship or permanent residency is necessary, with the ability to relocate to the project site for the duration of the contract. Passing the VA Public Trust Clearance and VHA credentialing process is also essential.
Benefits and Compensation
This position offers a competitive salary range of $310,000 to $350,000, based on several factors, including background, experience, skills, internal equity, and geographical market data. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, the selected candidate will receive a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and annual bonuses.
