Transportation Operations Manager

As a key member of the SP+ team, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of a DOT-regulated shuttle operation. This includes supervising employees, maintaining client relations, and ensuring company standards are upheld. Additional responsibilities include general accounting, HR functions, and claims review.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. A minimum of 5 years of progressive supervisory or management experience in a transportation environment is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is also required.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee customer relations to resolve complaints, disagreements, or misunderstandings about shuttle bus operations or service.
  • Supervise daily shuttle bus operations to ensure efficient and effective service.
  • Ensure all employees adhere to proper procedures for shuttle operations, security, cash control, and customer service.
  • Handle personnel issues, including hiring, termination, and training of support staff.
  • Monitor maintenance of the operation to maintain cleanliness and adherence to company policies.
  • Perform general accounting duties, such as accounts payable, payroll, petty cash, and budgeting.
  • Review damage claims to assign responsibility and implement plans to improve safety and prevent similar claims.
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL Class A, B, or C Driver's License (depending on location) with Passenger Endorsement for operating shuttle buses with a capacity of 15 passengers or more.
  • DOT Medical Card: Medical Examiner's Certificate required.
  • Availability to work special shifts, if required by location.

A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $85,000 annually is offered, along with various benefits, including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, long/short-term disability, life insurance, accident insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
