About the Opportunity
Jacksonville State University is seeking a qualified Academic Instructor to join our team in the Department of History and Foreign Languages. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to teach survey courses of U.S., World, or Western Civilization history, and conduct weekly office hours.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for lectures, attendance, exams, grading, and meeting university deadlines. A Master's degree in history or a related field is required, with at least 18 hours completed in graduate-level courses. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching in-person, hybrid, or online instruction and possess excellent communication skills.
About Our Department
The Department of History and Foreign Languages offers a B.A. degree and minor that complements any major. Our program develops student competencies in languages, literature, and cultures, providing opportunities to develop specific interests in film studies and more. Students can earn a B.A. in Foreign Languages with a concentration in Spanish or French and minors in French and Spanish.
