Job Title: Tug Master

MILLERS TUG AND BARGE INC. is seeking a qualified individual to fill a full-time position as a Tug Master. This role involves overseeing the safe transportation of barges and vessels, as well as ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and documenting widespread safety, health, and environmental policies for the vessel. This includes executing the MT&B Towing Safety Management System (TSMS) aboard the assigned vessel, preparation and facilitation of safety meetings and drills, and completion of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA).

The Tug Master will also be responsible for delegating daily tasks to the crew to ensure operational readiness, overseeing training and mentoring of crew members, and following company and work site safety policies/procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* 10+ years total experience with at least 5 years of experience in a Captain role
* Merchant Mariners Credentials (MMC) Master 100 Ton Near Coastal
* Master of Towing endorsement
* Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
* CPR/AED First Aid Certification
* Driver's License
* Knowledge of NY Harbor a Plus
