Key Responsibilities

  • Provide thorough dental hygiene services, including cleanings, exams, and education, to patients of all ages.
  • Collaborate with our dental team to develop personalized treatment plans and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • A current dental hygienist license in Maine and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required).
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, and patient screening and medical history documentation.
  • CPR certification and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • New graduates encouraged to apply.
  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
  • Desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/Doctor/Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Prolonged periods sitting and standing, lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds at times, and availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year.
