Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Roofing Project Oversight Specialist to join our team at Progressive Roofing. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall financial and operational responsibilities of roofing projects, ensuring successful project management, scheduling, and completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver comprehensive project plans to enable successful project execution
  • Review all project information with estimators, including contracts, budgets, job start and finish dates, job requirements, and submittals
  • Set up and enter project estimates into our accounting system to monitor and track associated costs
  • Schedule meetings with project stakeholders, including pre-job meetings, in-progress meetings, and close-out meetings
  • Maintain compliance with contractual obligations and work closely with Superintendents and Foremen to ensure timely and budget-friendly project completion
  • Order materials, issue change orders, and update billing as required
  • Report on project performance to department heads and contribute to weekly department meetings

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a commercial roofing environment
  • Extensive knowledge of various commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation methods
  • Two or more years of experience directing large-scale commercial roofing projects, including interpreting roofing plans, determining roof types, estimating materials and replacement costs, evaluating product acceptability, and developing warranties
  • Strong understanding of state and local building codes, including Uniform Building Code, electrical, and plumbing codes
  • Solid working knowledge of construction site development, commercial construction, demolition, and remodel procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret drawings and specification documents
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write routine reports and correspondence
