Job SummaryThis position involves assisting in the delivery of patient care as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a correctional setting. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of registered nurses to assess patients, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions in the health care unit and housing units.
- Develop and implement individual treatment programs using available resources and consulting with registered nurses, physicians, and correctional officers.
- Administer medications and interventions in accordance with provider instructions.
- Maintain accurate records of nursing encounters, patient responses, and effectiveness.
Competitive salary: $**65,000 - $80,000 per year**, depending on experience.
RequirementsTo qualify for this role, applicants must possess a current, unrestricted LPN license, CPR certification, and a graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing. A minimum of one year of clinical experience, preferably in a correctional setting, is also preferred.
