Mechanical Inspector

Staff Works is seeking a skilled Mechanical Inspector to join their team at a leading sheet metal fabrication shop in Shelton. As a Mechanical Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products manufactured on site, including railway safety carts and X-Ray machines for airports and border security.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in a metal fabrication environment, including weldments, paint & powder coating, machined parts, formed parts, and mechanical assemblies. They will be responsible for incoming inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection on all products.

The company offers a competitive pay rate of $20-$30 per hour, commensurate with experience, as well as opportunities for overtime and a profit-sharing retirement plan. They also offer a Christmas bonus based on employee performance and company profits, paid PTO and vacation time, and a highly tenured internal team.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all inspections
• Incoming inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection on all products

Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience (will consider less for the right candidate)
• Experience in a metal fabrication environment including weldments, paint & powder coating, machined parts, formed parts, and mechanical assemblies

Shift:

1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM (9-10 hour work days)
