Saint Alphonsus Medical Group, a leading physician-led multispecialty group, is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join their team in the Boise metropolitan area.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality patient care and a commitment to practicing up-to-date, evidence-based medicine. As a key member of our NICU team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend high-risk deliveries and facilitate NICU admissions.
  • Co-manage NICU patients with attending Neonatologists and site-dependent well newborn nursery patients.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds with Neonatologists, providing active management strategies that include nutritional adjustments, ventilator management, lab, and radiology review, and updating families.

Staffing Model/Schedule:

  • Level 3: 1.0 FTE includes 10 16-hr shifts/month in-house NNP coverage from 4pm-8am.
  • Level 2: 1 FTE includes 10 shifts/month of 24hr on-call NNP coverage, including well NB coverage.
  • Neo service coverage: average 10 days/month block coverage; team rounds at both units for NICU infants only; anticipated 8am-4pm onsite(s) then 16hr on-call from home at night (30-min response time).

Ideal Candidate:

  • Graduate from a Nurse Practitioner Program with current RN and APRN licensure; current national board certification as NNP desired.
  • Current DEA and controlled substance Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC - Boise and SAMC - Nampa.
  • Commitment to teamwork and cultivating a culture of transformational care.
  • Enjoys teaching and educating staff.

We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $120,000-$150,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
