Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Leadership Specialist to join our team at Dream Finders Homes. As a key member of our construction department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of residential homes.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee daily construction activities, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Collaborate with builders to source and secure additional trades as needed, maintaining quality standards throughout the process.
  • Evaluate and improve blueprints, takeoffs, and budgets to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide on-the-job training for all builders, focusing on procedures and best practices.
  • Approve sub-contractor payroll and monitor communication between builders and sales teams to maximize closings and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct bi-weekly meetings with builders and facilitate individual coaching sessions as needed.
  • Coordinate supply and trade issues with the purchasing department, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Evaluate staff performance, maintaining minimum performance levels through training, hiring, or replacement.
  • Facilitate training for builders as required and manage variance to budget.
  • Maintain and enforce workplace safety requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of previous construction experience, including supervisory roles.
  • Homebuilding software experience is preferred.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Maintain attention to detail and follow through on tasks.
  • Make informed decisions and resolve problems efficiently and effectively.
Estimated Salary:

$85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

  • Talking and hearing at normal levels.
  • Seeing with close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjusting focus.
  • Reaching with hands and arms.
  • Using hands and fingers to operate tools and other business machines.
  • Lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
