Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Trinity Health Michigan. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect patient care in the Operating Room.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare for surgical cases by arranging sterile setups and maintaining a sterile field throughout the procedure.
  • Pass instruments, sponges, and other sterile supplies to surgeons and assist during procedures.
  • Assist with circulating duties, such as opening supplies and preparing the operative site.
  • Count sponges, needles, and instruments used during surgery and assist with dressing the operative site following closing.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an associate degree in Surgical Technology and active certification as a Surgical Tech or two years of surgical technologist experience and active certification as a surgical technologist.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist required, must be obtained within 6 months of hire if the candidate has recently completed a Surgical Technologist program.
  • No experience required if actively Certified as a Surgical Technologist, if not Certified must be able to provide proof of eligible to complete Certification exam and obtain within 6 months of hire.
