Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Accounting Manager to join our Operations Controllership team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for recording and reconciling financial results for Variable Annuity separate accounts and broker dealer entity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for Variable Annuity separate accounts and Capital Brokerage Corporation (CBC)
  • Prepare and analyze year-end financial reports including separate account financial statements, statutory green books, SEC 24F-2 filings and SEC NCEN filings
  • Consolidate and analyze monthly financial statements for CBC
  • Assist with preparation of broker dealer Focus report
  • Load data to separate account database ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with administration, maintenance and testing of separate account database
  • Responsible for monthly admin system report reconciliations and correction of outages
  • Responsible for monthly performance report production and accuracy
  • Reconcile ledger accounts monthly and correct outages
  • Manage annual Dividend Received Deduction process for the tax department utilizing external support team
  • Assist with audit requests as needed
  • Assist variable accounting external pricing team
  • Review trading activity on a rotation basis
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 3+ years related experience
  • Prior financial statement preparation
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
