Job Summary

The Urban League of Philadelphia seeks a highly skilled Compliance and Reporting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Housing Department, this individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations, analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and communicating compliance status to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure the Housing Department's adherence to regulations, laws, and policies.
  • Financial Reporting: Compile and analyze financial data, prepare reports, and communicate compliance status to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Monitoring: Continuously monitor regulatory changes and updates to ensure compliance.
  • Reporting and Auditing: Prepare and oversee compliance requirements related to the delivery of counseling services, including monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
  • Team Support: Assist the team in regular audits to identify potential weaknesses and noncompliance situations.
  • Communication: Communicate with the Housing team to ensure everyone knows what they need to do to comply with internal and external laws and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Professional Experience: Two years of professional performance auditing, analytical, or similar work experience.
  • Education: High School Diploma required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Certifications: HUD Counseling certification (preferred), Housing Counselor Certification, Paralegal, or other related certification preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, professional level written and verbal communication skills, ability to work both independently and as a part of a team, receptive to feedback and coaching, vital planning, organizational, and analytical skills, general math skills and statistical analysis, solid leadership skills, proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
