PBS Engineering and Environmental, a leading consulting firm in sustainable solutions, seeks a Hydrogeologist/Environmental Remediation Specialist for its dynamic team in Seattle, Washington.

Job Summary

This role supports the growth of Environmental Services for PBS in the Puget Sound Region by providing project management services for hydrogeologic characterization, environmental investigations, remediation, and water resources assessment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a range of projects in contaminated site investigation and remediation, environmental due diligence, litigation support, and regulatory coordination.
  • Direct remedial investigation and feasibility studies from concept to final delivery, including the preparation of technical reports and engineering design documents.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate hydrogeological and engineering considerations into environmental assessments and remediation plans.
  • Develop and implement groundwater remediation projects, including the selection and design of appropriate remediation techniques.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Degree in geology, hydrogeology, engineering or other related field.
  • Professionally licensed in Washington.
  • 15+ years of professional experience in environmental consulting, including planning and performing site investigation, characterization, and remediation in Washington State.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams to conduct Remedial Investigations and Feasibility Studies for remediation projects with varying degrees of complexity and/or overall scope.
  • Well-versed working knowledge of environmental regulations and guidance including MTCA, RCRA, and CERCLA.
  • Ability to independently prepare proposals, summary reports, and formal cleanup documentation.
