Veterinary Assistant Opportunity

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year (depending on experience)

Job Description

As a Veterinary Assistant at South Peak Veterinary Hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of veterinary medicine are maintained. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional patient care and support to veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians
  • Assisting with routine patient appointments and surgical procedures
  • Caring for and monitoring pets during their stay with us
  • Collecting and processing samples for diagnostics
  • Administering emergency first aid and performing life-saving procedures when necessary
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and inventory management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-2 years of clinical experience in a companion animal practice
  • Excellent client communication skills and a strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • The capacity to lift 20+lbs., tolerate strong smells and noisy environments, and deal with physically and emotionally demanding situations
