Overview:

Vinfen, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing community-based services, seeks a motivated Peer Specialist to join its team. As a Peer Specialist, you will play a vital role in promoting the engagement and full integration of individuals with mental health conditions, enabling them to live successfully in their communities.

You will work closely with clients to develop personalized plans, provide education and advocacy, and facilitate supportive relationships that promote empowerment and self-learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement peer support-oriented treatment plans with clients.
  • Provide emotional support, education, and advocacy during times of transition or service changes.
  • Foster non-directive and supportive relationships that empower clients to take control of their lives.
  • Facilitate peer support groups as needed.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions or similar backgrounds is essential.
  • Certification as a Peer Specialist or completion of equivalent training programs is a plus.
