Job Summary:

Tidewater Community College is seeking a qualified adjunct faculty member to teach collision repair technology courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collision repair and refinish, as well as experience in teaching or training.

Responsibilities:

The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for creating a learning environment that facilitates students' acquisition of knowledge and skills in collision repair technology. This will involve aligning course activities with student learning outcomes, employing active learning strategies, and providing students with prompt and meaningful feedback. The faculty member will also be responsible for delivering instruction in support of stated learning outcomes, adhering to college policies and procedures, and conducting meaningful and timely assessments of student learning.

Requirements:

The minimum qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent, I-CAR certification, and five years of occupational experience as a collision repair and refinish technician. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree or equivalent in the teaching field, teaching experience at the college level, and knowledge of CANVAS or other learning management systems. The ideal candidate will possess sufficient technology skills to work productively in an organization that utilizes significant information and instructional technology resources.
