About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Branch Operations Coordinator to join our team at Synovus. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Job Summary

The Branch Operations Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Teller line, ensuring continuous coverage and adherence to established schedules. This includes supervising and coordinating Tellers, managing cash levels, and maintaining branch security policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Tellers: Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Teller line, including zone scheduling where available. Prepare, publish, and coordinate staffing and scheduling to ensure proper Teller and branch coverage.
  • Manage Cash Levels: Maintain established levels of cash in the vault, determine items that need to be ordered and/or shipped, and supply and verify cash to and from customers, tellers, and other branches.
  • Maintain Branch Security Policies: Ensure each team member is aware of risk within their functional area and raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Two years of Teller experience; OR One year of Teller experience and successful completion of the BSS Development program; OR One year of experience as a Teller Supervisor or as a Branch Manager with Teller duties; OR Two years of supervisory experience that includes one year of Teller experience; OR a Bachelor's degree and one year of Teller experience.
  • Skills: Knowledge of bank branch operational functions, systems, policies, and procedures; understanding and knowledge of bank compliance rules and regulations; strong interpersonal and customer service skills with ability to quickly establish rapport with customers; strong listening skills and a positive communicator; account reconciliation skills; careful attention to detail with ability to manage time and multi-task; proficiency using Microsoft Office software products.
Salary

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
