Dermatology Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at NavaDerm. As a key member of our dermatology team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians in the care of patients, ensuring optimal medical care and outcomes.
- Prepare patients for physical examinations and surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Take patient histories, document information, and obtain consent forms as necessary.
- Provide patient education, hands out educational pamphlets, and gives care instructions verbally.
- Assist with surgical procedures, set up surgical rooms, and maintain a well-stocked clinical area.
- Answer patient questions, take written notes, and give injections/local anesthesia as instructed.
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-stocked examination rooms, and keep necessary logs and documentation.
- Photograph and record patient photographs, and make postoperative calls and liaise between physicians and patients.
- Allow 2-3 days per week for administrative duties, reviewing policies and SOPs, and maintaining supply inventory.
- Review and maintain competency reviews, and schedule in-services as needed.
- Onboard and train new hires, and cover for the supervisor as needed.
- Meet with vendors to ensure up-to-date product and laser knowledge.
- Oversight for Covid testing, and work as a liaison for all floors.
- Biopsy and infection logs, and MIPS oversight.
- Assist with general housekeeping duties, including weekly scrub downs of patient examination rooms.
- Precept new nursing personnel, and sterilize surgical instruments using appropriate methods.
- Assist with scheduling patients for lab tests, and chart in medical records as necessary.
- Call in prescriptions, and maintain a professional appearance.
- Arrive on time, and maintain a flexible and adaptable nature to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Graduation from an RN program, and current CPR and BCLS certification.
- Current license or certification, and continuing education activity.
- Positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a team player.
- Computer proficiency, and superior keyboarding skills.
- Flexible and adaptable nature, and a passion for helping others in a healthcare environment.
