We are seeking highly motivated Registered Nurses to participate in our Nurse Residency Program. This 12-month program is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in today's hospital environment.

The HCA Nurse Residency Program at Portsmouth Regional Hospital offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes:

  • Advanced Clinical Training in a specialty area, ensuring you have the hands-on experience needed to excel in your role.
  • Mentorship from experienced nurse leaders, providing guidance and support throughout your residency.
  • Educational Sessions, where you'll gain valuable insights into patient care and develop your critical thinking skills.
  • Preceptorship Training with a facility preceptor, allowing you to apply your knowledge in real-world settings.
  • Measurement and Evaluation of your skills through hands-on simulations, ensuring you're prepared for success.

As a Resident I Graduate Nurse, you'll be part of a supportive community of nurse educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents who will guide you through the transition from student nurse to registered nurse.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with medical providers and other members of the care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You'll assess patient condition, perform procedures and monitoring, and document care in the patient medical record.

  • A competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience.
