About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Animal Care Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality and health of our animals, including providing food and water, ensuring their environment is clean, and performing various tasks such as receiving, inspecting, and putting away incoming animals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining animal care standards, including providing food and water, cleaning cages, and monitoring animal health
- Receiving, inspecting, and putting away incoming animals, ensuring accurate records and documentation
- Performing health observations, administering medications, taking blood samples, and giving injections while adhering to established protocols
- Restocking supplies and participating in team efforts to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to fifty pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Team player with excellent communication skills
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
