About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to join our team at HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital. As a key member of our imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our colleagues.

Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN will conduct radiologic procedures to provide data for patient diagnosis, operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs, and perform x-ray therapy under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will also administer barium salts or other chemical mixtures, operate stationary and portable equipment, and take pictures and develop film.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct radiologic procedures to provide data for patient diagnosis
  • Operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs
  • Perform x-ray therapy under the supervision of a Radiologist
  • Administer barium salts or other chemical mixtures
  • Operate stationary and portable equipment
  • Take pictures and develop film
  • Orient and mentor new staff members
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff
  • Provide a safe environment for administering contrast material
  • Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
