About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Housing Advocate Specialist to join our team at Endeavors. In this role, you will play a vital part in preventing homelessness by promoting awareness of our program and conducting initial eligibility pre-screening for Housing Programs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial eligibility screening for individuals seeking program assistance.
  • Build a database of community resources.
  • Utilize the Housing First Model to advocate for eligible participants, provide general information, and community referrals for those not meeting program eligibility requirements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive outreach/working relationships with landlords, property management teams, and community partners on behalf of participants to develop workable plans to obtain and/or maintain housing.
  • Conduct outreach and networking activities in the community, giving presentations at various community groups/events, and remaining active and networking in monthly community meetings.
  • Promote the success and reputation of the Supportive Services for Housing Programs.
  • Document weekly or daily case notes; maintain ongoing communication with multi-disciplinary teams across multiple programs to assist participants in obtaining and maintaining permanent housing, services to meet needs, and promote stability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or related field preferred or equivalent in years of experience.
  • Experience with mental health and/or a homeless population is a plus.

Benefits and Working Conditions

  • Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates.
  • Must be available and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required to meet business needs.
  • Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide opportunities for professional growth and development, a supportive work environment, and a comprehensive benefits package.
