TES, a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is a dedicated support center that meets the temporary employment needs of the university. With a wide range of occupations available, TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees to meet the staffing demands across campus.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform diverse duties combining administrative and clerical tasks, including data collection, management, correspondence, filing, calendar organization, event scheduling, mail distribution, phone answering, and supply procurement.
- Contribute to budget preparation, tracking, monitoring, auditing, payroll processing, travel/expense voucher processing, and other accounting and financial tasks.
- Advise staff, students, administrators, and clients on standard policies and procedures.
- Serve as a point of contact for various departments, students, faculty, customers, and outside agencies/vendors on behalf of the manager, director, or department head.
- Analyze and manipulate data, databases, and reports using computer software.
- Maintain some administrative duties such as budget coordination, human resources administration (beyond payroll entry), cash collection and disbursement, report generation, and complex project coordination.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of related experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced) including Word, Excel, and Outlook for keyboarding and data entry.
- Familiarity with Adobe PDF for editing and processing.
Compensation and Benefits: The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $31,200 to $39,600, depending on experience, based on a 40-hour workweek and $15/hour wage.
