Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Certified Patient Care Associate to join our team at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.

Estimated Salary:$35,000 - $45,000 per year

About the Role

In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care in a safe and compassionate manner under the direction of licensed nurses. You will be responsible for performing various tasks such as physical patient care, vital sign collection, and documentation in the patient's chart.

Key Responsibilities
  • Physical Patient Care: Provide hands-on care to patients including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting as needed.
  • Vital Sign Collection: Accurately collect and record vital signs, intake and output, and food intake.
  • Patient Charting: Document patient information accurately and completely in the patient's chart.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare staff to provide coordinated patient care.
  • Equipment Utilization: Competently use unit-specific equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or GED preferred; prior experience as a nursing assistant may be used as a substitute.
  • Certifications: CPR certification preferred.
  • Skills: Basic computer skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, family, peers, and medical personnel.
