We are seeking a highly skilled Security Systems Professional to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our security solutions group, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining commercial security systems, including alarms, access control, and video surveillance.

This is a critical position that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service abilities. You will work closely with our customers to understand their needs and provide customized solutions to meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • ">
  • Service and inspect commercial security systems, including alarms, access control, and video surveillance">
  • Conduct on-site system inspections and maintain inspection records through various 3rd party systems">
  • Install hardware as needed for customers looking to upgrade their communicators equipment">
  • Contact customers prior to scheduled installations to verify schedules">
  • Prepare estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions from Supervisor">
  • Follow proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures">
  • Test operation of systems to signal-receiving centers to establish service">
  • Read building, electrical, and sprinkler blueprints as required">
  • Coordinate installations with police/fire departments and handle necessary records for notification of emergency calls">
  • Manage installation teams on larger projects">
  • Coffee and mentor less experienced installers">
  • Travel required, using provided company vehicle and equipment">

Requirements:

">

To be successful in this role, you must have a State of Washington General Journey Level Electrician (EL01) license or Master Limited Energy System (EL06) license. A minimum of 2-5 years of low voltage experience is also required.

">

Additionally, you should have experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics, and operational/product manuals. Hand tool proficiency, multi-meter usage, and handheld power tools experience are also necessary.

">

You will need to pass an MVR, Background Check, and Drug Test. Demonstrated aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs is essential. Physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs, is also required.

You should be able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet. Flexibility to work on-call rotation, nights, and occasional weekends to meet customer requirements is also essential.

A high level of customer service, ability to adhere to safety guidelines, and strong organizational skills are also necessary.

Benefits:

This position includes a competitive hourly range of $28-$37 per hour. The actual hourly rate will be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
