  • Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students through affiliation with the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans for complex cases, collaborating with other pediatric specialists
  • Access to a world-class research and simulation center to enhance clinical skills and patient care
  • Work with a patient population and equipment available to perform the full range of otolaryngology procedures

Located in Peoria, OSF HealthCare Children's Hospital of Illinois is the third largest pediatric hospital in Illinois and the most comprehensive hospital for kids downstate. With 136 beds and more than 140 pediatric subspecialists, OSF Children's Hospital cares for more children in Illinois than any hospital outside of Chicago.

Responsibilities

The Physician is responsible for providing compassionate, high-quality, patient-centered care. Demonstrates positive working relationships and collaborative team-oriented behaviors with staff physicians, nurses, other departments, and other members of the medical staff.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Licenses/Certifications: Physician Licensed (or eligible to be licensed) to practice medicine in current state. Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.

Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies). Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.

Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.

Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care aligned to the preferences, goals, and needs of the patients served
