Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Device Technician to join our team at NYU Langone Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting Nurse Practitioners and Physicians in the management of patients with implanted cardiac devices requiring cardiac device therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and conducting clinic and remote appointments for patients with implanted cardiac devices.
  • Registering patients on vendor websites for remote monitoring systems and monitoring websites for urgent alerts.
  • Downloading and analyzing clinical device transmissions, including pacemaker, ICD device, and loop recorder data.
  • Interrogating and programming pacemakers, ICD devices, and loop recorders under the supervision of physicians and cardiac device certified allied professionals.
  • Setting up and reporting on Holter Monitor data.
  • Monitoring the transmission status of remotely monitored device patients within the practice via the vendor website.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete documentation and records, generating reports as needed, and entering information in the database system.
  • Participating in quality assurance activities, including remote monitoring patient compliance.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited EKG school, a Cardiac Arrhythmia Technology Program, or equivalent training and experience in interpreting cardiac arrhythmias. A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is preferred.
