Senior Engineering Director for Food Manufacturing Operations

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering Director to lead our engineering operations across multiple food manufacturing plants. This role will require strategic leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and exceptional communication skills to drive process improvements and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
About the Role- Lead and manage engineering teams across multiple plant locations, ensuring consistency in processes, performance, and safety standards.
- Oversee plant engineering projects from design through execution, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
- Hands-on involvement in equipment design, plant layouts, and process optimizations using AutoCAD.
- Ensure all engineering activities are in compliance with industry regulations, particularly within the food manufacturing space (e.g., FDA, HACCP).
- Collaborate with plant managers and other departments to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce downtime, and improve overall production efficiency.
- Support the maintenance teams in troubleshooting and resolving equipment-related issues to minimize disruptions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to plant engineers and other technical staff across the region.
- Ensure health and safety standards are strictly adhered to, conducting regular reviews and audits.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related fields).
- 5+ years of experience in a managerial engineering role, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and experienced in designing and modifying plant layouts and equipment.
- Proven hands-on experience in food manufacturing engineering, including equipment troubleshooting and process optimization.
- Strong understanding of food safety and manufacturing regulations (FDA, HACCP, GMP).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to manage multiple sites and projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally.
