The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control is seeking a highly skilled Public Health Nurse Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, supervisory experience, and excellent communication skills.

Job Description

This role involves supervising and instructing a team of nurses in preventive health and immunization services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership and guidance to the team to ensure high-quality patient care and services
  • Reviewing staff performance and providing regular feedback and appraisals
  • Performing administrative tasks such as maintaining records and reporting metrics

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of public health services, including health promotion, disease prevention, and health education. This role requires strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A current RN license in the State of South Carolina or a compact state
  • An Associate's degree in Nursing or a Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Experience in supervisory or leadership roles
  • CPR certification within 30 days of employment

Prior experience working in public health or a related field is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated at $65,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
