Methadone Addiction Therapist

Centurion Health is seeking a skilled Methadone Counselor to join our team at the Maryland Correctional Institution for Women in Jessup, Maryland.

The Methadone Counselor will provide substance abuse and methadone usage counseling to individuals or groups, focusing on building motivation, education, planning crisis intervention, relapse prevention, or aftercare. This role involves monitoring patients' response to methadone medication treatment through individual counseling and toxicology review.

• Provide substance abuse and methadone usage counseling to individuals or groups
• Monitor patients' response to methadone medication treatment through individual counseling and toxicology review
• Maintain required records on patients and update progress notes
• Supervise the collection of toxicology samples for all patients

• Graduate of an AA in a health and human services field
• Certification as a State Addiction Counselor
• Minimum of one year of experience in a community-based inpatient or outpatient chemical dependency program including methadone management
• Experience working in corrections preferred
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
