About the Role:
Excelacom is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure to support our clients' business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated Access and CPE device field issues.
- Perform assessments on existing technologies to determine performance and capacity gaps.
- Establish security, connectivity, and access parameters.
- Provide recommendations to optimize network infrastructure.
- Test and tune security devices and systems.
- Program routers and switches. Implement communications technologies (data or voice).
- Manage network services from planning phase through implementation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Strong math, written, and verbal communication skills with an analytical approach.
- Ability to interact cross-functionally with various levels of management and peers.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.
- 2 years of experience in Network Engineering.
- Solid knowledge of routing protocols, network hardware and software, security technologies, and network infrastructure.
- Advanced knowledge of the DOCSIS and EPON standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Telecommunications, Media, or Cable.
- Experience in a professional office environment.
- Relevant internship experience.
- Basic understanding of SQL.
- CPE and ONU background in trouble shooting is highly desirable.
- Creative Network Trouble Shooting Skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
For individuals assigned to work in Colorado, Excelacom is required to include a reasonable estimated compensation range for this role. However, final salaries will vary based on several factors, such as candidate's level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. An individual may be hired at the Analyst, Consultant, or Manager level for this role with each level requiring an increasing set of responsibilities. For regular full-time employees, the estimated salary range is from $60,000 to $85,000.
