Enterprise Applications Project Lead

Cystems Logic Inc. is seeking an experienced Enterprise Applications Project Lead to join our team in Los Angeles, CA.
About the RoleThis exciting opportunity involves overseeing software replacements and upgrades, managing project scope, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Project Scope Management: Define and document project scope in collaboration with project sponsors and stakeholders.
- Scope of Work Preparation: Develop detailed Scope of Work for software replacement/upgrades.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Cystems Logic Inc. in Source Selection committees to facilitate effective communication and decision-making.
- Project Implementation: Oversee the management of project software/development implementations, ensuring timely completion and quality standards are met.
- Blueprint Sessions: Lead blueprint sessions with relevant stakeholders to identify and document detailed requirements.
- Project Planning: Develop a comprehensive project plan, including project schedules and costs, to guide project execution.
- Documentation: Prepare and present Project Charters, Risk Assessments, and other project documents as required.
- Project Budgeting: Establish and manage project budget estimates, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Progress Updates: Provide regular project updates to the ITS PMO on QuickBase and as needed.
- Document Management: Manage project document collection repositories, including SharePoint, MS Teams, and other project management applications.
- Mentorship: Coach and mentor district staff in project management practices to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Work Order Management: Create and manage work orders for enhancements, bug fixes, incident change requests, and other project tasks.
- Resource Allocation: Identify and coordinate resources required to implement project plans, ensuring efficient use of personnel and assets.
- Application Development: Collaborate with developers to ensure applications are developed in line with project plans.
- Security Protocols: Ensure that project processes and procedures meet ITS security protocols.
- Testing and Rollout: Coordinate and review testing, training, change management, and rollout for new portals or applications.
- Vendor Management: Manage vendors implementing/developing various outsourced projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
- Project Communication: Provide timely project updates to project sponsors and relevant stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress and any changes.
We are seeking a seasoned professional with:
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in the public sector.
- A college degree, preferably in an IT-related field, with a minor or advanced degree in business or IT-related subjects being a plus.
- PMP certification and/or other industry and project management certifications.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience using formal project management methodology, techniques, and tools.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience providing project management software implementation services.
- Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining project deliverables such as project charter, project plan, status reports, project timesheets, estimates, communication plan, reports, risk management plan, budget (work hours and cost), milestone/deliverable charts.
- Budget management skills: Ability to prepare, analyze, and review financing plans and related budgetary information required for estimating projects.
- Experiences with software vendor and remote resources management.
- Demonstrated experience in managing issues, scope, and quality while bringing projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements.
- Adaptability and flexibility, including the ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change.
- Negotiating skills within a context of political sensitivity and conflicting interests.
- Presentation and written communication skills.
- Ability to build teams and generate a spirit of cooperation while coordinating diverse activities and groups; people management and negotiating skills within a team environment.
