Job DescriptionThe Director of Construction will be responsible for project management and leadership in the Southeast market and other T5 markets. This role includes site management and leadership for individual buildings and full projects, coordinating subcontractors, materials, and equipment while ensuring specifications are strictly followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Support general leadership of the Southeast market
- Lead data center campus teams
- Provide hands-on management support for individual projects
- Manage overall budgets and corresponding subcontractor/vendor/consultant budgets
- Manage overall schedules
- Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion
- Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed
- Evaluate subcontractor compliance with contracted scope of work
- Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions
- Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution
- Maintain daily logs of activities on the jobsite
- May perform Field Superintendent duties at multiple job sites simultaneously
- Ensure subcontractors correct all identified deficiencies
- Walk all units on the project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning
- Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings to coordinate work
- Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality or scheduling
- Ensure the job site remains clean and organized
- Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of construction experience
- 1+ year of data center experience (preferable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Project)
- Yardi, Procore, and Prolog experience (preferable)
We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around $120,000 annually, based on industry standards and location. Additionally, you will receive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, and paid holidays. Bonus eligibility is also available.
RequirementsThis role requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, and balance. You must also be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl using both arms and legs. Reach, grasp, push, pull, handle, feel, and type with both hands and arms are also necessary. The ability to smell, talk, and hear is required. Sight, particularly distance vision, is crucial. Lifting equipment weighing up to 100 pounds without mechanical assistance is also essential. Work inside and outside environments are expected.
