Job Summary

Select Specialty Hospital - TriCities is seeking a skilled Telemetry Technician/Unit Secretary to join our team. As a Telemetry Technician/Unit Secretary, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our cardiac monitoring unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, identifying and responding to abnormal readings in a timely and accurate manner.
• Verify correct identification of basic and lethal rhythms, as well as artifact, and maintain EKG monitor alarms.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
• Complete EKG interpretations, including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, waveform alterations, and rhythm interpretation.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by a registered nurse.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training.
• Ability to complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on education platform within 30 days of start date.
