In this role, Physical Security Officers (PSOs) work in demanding and fast-paced environments, protecting people, information, and property. They may work in various settings, including medical centers, government facilities, and public events. PSOs are responsible for delivering high-end customer service, responding to emergencies, and deterring crime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering High-End Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to clients, guests, and co-workers.
  • Responding to Emergencies: Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations.
  • Deterring and Preventing Crime: Use various techniques to prevent and deter crime.
  • Performing Ingress/Egress Control Procedures: Control access to and from secure areas.
  • Investigating Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations of incidents.
  • Completing Daily Logs and Incident Reports: Maintain accurate records of incidents and daily activities.
  • Conducting Regular Walking or Vehicle Patrols: Conduct regular patrols to ensure security and safety.
  • Building and Maintaining a Professional Rapport: Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, guests, and co-workers.
  • De-Escalating Conflicts: Use effective techniques to de-escalate conflicts.
  • Detaining Suspects: Detain suspects as necessary.
  • Monitoring CCTV Cameras: Monitor CCTV cameras to ensure security and safety.
Requirements
  • ACT 235 Certification: Possess current and valid ACT 235 certification.
  • Age Requirement: Be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a current and valid driver's license.
  • High School Diploma or GED: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Have at least one year of experience in armed security.
  • Physical Abilities: Possess the physical abilities to perform the duties of the job.
  • Background Investigation: Pass a comprehensive background investigation.
