As a Transport Driver with Universal Bakery, you will be responsible for transporting bakery products safely and efficiently to the required destination in a timely manner. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.

About the Role

The Transport Driver will operate tractors pulling double or triple trailers on a combination of city and interstate routes. You will load and unload trucks at each destination, ensuring that all products are handled with care and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate tractor-trailers safely and efficiently: You will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination unit, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Load and unload products: You will load and unload bakery products at each destination, taking care to ensure that all products are handled carefully and securely.
  • Maintain accurate records: You will maintain accurate records of your trips, including fuel consumption, mileage, and any issues encountered during transportation.
Requirements
  • Highest level of education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Licenses and certifications: Current CDL A license with an acceptable driving record
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Class A driver, preferably with doubles or triples experience
  • Shifts and schedules: Ability to work any day, including weekends and holidays, and any shift (day, swing, or graveyard)
  • Attendance: Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for this role
