Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmaceutical Sales Representative to join our team at Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and innovative company that is dedicated to improving patient care in the evolving healthcare environment.

About the Role:

  • As a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, you will play a critical role in delivering a higher quality experience for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers by engaging with local healthcare systems and identifying opportunities to improve patient outcomes.
  • You will work closely with cross-functional colleagues, including Medical, Market Access, and Patient Support teams, to provide deep clinical expertise on-demand and offer personalized education on disease state, thought leadership, and real-world evidence.
  • You will have significant autonomy to assess unique market priorities and customize decisions that reflect local customer needs.
  • You will be responsible for conducting proactive outreach to HCPs on topics such as product access, on-label information, established guidance on patient care, customer engagement, and business planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, and health systems.
  • Provide educational support and resources to HCPs on products and approved conditions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities and develop solutions to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform local strategy and business goals.
  • Elevate opportunities and feedback to ecosystem lead, including local market insights to inform setting of local strategy and business goals.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years pharmaceutical or medical device sales experience.
  • Previous cross-functional industry experience in commercial life sciences (pharma or biotechnology) or related industry engaging with key healthcare ecosystem players.
  • 4 or more years' experience working in a sales role with HCPs, ideally representing multiple products and working across a complex healthcare system environment.
  • Clinical nurse or Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) experience highly valued.
  • The ability to work in an ambiguous environment undergoing transformation.
  • Proven track record in coaching, training and/or mentoring peers or others as assigned.
  • Ability to seek out relevant information, prioritize, and apply information to solve complex problems in the ecosystem.
