Job Summary

This position is a hybrid role based in the Denver, PA office, requiring in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. As a Functional Analyst, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into SAP IS-U FICA components of the SAP Configuration IMG.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate on all phases of the systems development lifecycle (SDLC) with a focus on analysis, design, and development of configuration-based solutions.
  • Develop strong business and system knowledge of the assigned functional area to successfully deliver a range of projects and financial-related requests.
  • Work with business unit analysts, EBT resources, and other IT technical resources to design, configure, test, and implement solutions to meet changing policy, regulatory, and business requirements.
  • Perform configuration to support defined business processes/functions, including timely testing and validation of software patches released by SAP.
  • Troubleshoot incidents reported against IT applications and assist in investigating issues to determine the root cause of problems.
  • Support and monitor daily batch processing, responding to job failures in a timely manner, and provide 24X7 primary and/or secondary support to core applications considered business critical.
  • Responsible for generating required documentation throughout the different phases of a project, including creating functional specifications and test plans, and providing input into project charters, project plans, and estimates.
  • Follow established change management procedures to ensure that application modifications are implemented in a way that meets internal IT controls.
  • Provide guidance on financial processing to other team members and document configuration processes and procedures for relevant SAP systems.
  • Coordinate and provide thorough and consistent end-user training on relevant SAP system functionality.
Requirements
  • Possess strong analytical skills, which allows for the assessment of business processes and how they guide and shape application functionality.
  • Possess competency to comprehend technical design specifications, work with SAP tables, SAP queries, mass update scripts, and SAP debugging.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information to the team, department, and business areas.
  • Understands project plans and is able to clearly articulate their role, project goals, and timelines.
  • Develops project plans for small projects and partners with Project Managers to develop project plans for large projects.
  • Working knowledge of COBIT5-based IT Governance and Management framework or other structured industry standard methodologies.
  • Stays current with IT industry trends and emerging technologies and suggests and leads the application of new technologies.
  • Drives business process improvement by the identification of value-added enhancements.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Information/Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent discipline. An Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent discipline plus seven (7) years of related SAP configuration experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.

Required: Six (6) or more years of functional SAP experience, comprised of at least four (4) years of experience with SAP Utilities (IS-U / CR&B) configuration and at least two (2) years of experience supporting applications, systems, or business processes with analysis, design, and/or improvement focus on the following component: SAP IS-U FICA.

Preferred: Six (6) or more years of functional SAP IS-U experience in SAP IS-U FICA. ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) Foundation certification (at hire or within 12 months in position).
