About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook/Chef to join our team at Presbyterian Homes & Services. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality meals and dining experiences for our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve attractive, nutritious, and palatable meals consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our customers.
  • Manage food inventory, ordering, and storage to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Cook: 1 year of cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, or senior services setting.
  • Chef: 2 years of cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, or senior services setting, or completed culinary training/certification or vocational training/certification in commercial food preparation.
  • Knowledge of state and federal food-handling regulations (Serve Safe Certification).
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
