Precision Toolmaker

At MPI Products, we are seeking a skilled Tooling Specialist to join our Machine Shop team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and repairing intricate tools, dies, and fixtures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Construct and repair new and existing dies, fixtures, gauges, and other tooling equipment.
2. Set up and operate department equipment, including turning, grinding, milling, drilling, and cutoff machines.
3. Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to coordinate tooling projects and ensure quality workmanship.
4. Develop and repair new and existing dies, fixtures, and gauges, and perform other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Journey-level status or equivalent experience in tooling and machine operation.
• Excellent math skills and ability to read and interpret blueprints and precision gauges.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for up to 3 hours at a time, with regular breaks.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, with assistance as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
