Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

Duration: 10+ Months

Job Description:

  • The Content Platform team is seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer to act as first-level support and development for all incoming production software application issues dealing with merchandising applications. Your solutions will directly impact our customers.
  • Primary responsibilities include developing monitoring solutions, troubleshooting/debugging and implementing fixes for internally developed code (Perl, C/C++, JAVA), performing SQL queries, improving systems that gather metrics on our features, updating, tracking, and resolving technical challenges.
  • Job Qualifications: The ideal candidate is interested in a career in software development and is looking to utilize and expand their coding skills and gain exposure to a wide variety of software applications. They must be detail-oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, be able to work independently, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Preferred coding skills: Perl, C/C++ and/or Java. Other desired technical skills include Mason, Perl CGI, Oracle SQL, HTML, UNIX/LINUX. A Computer Science or equivalent technical degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in application development (front-end preferred)
  • Java programming experience
  • Previous experience coding, system design, and problem-solving

Nice to Have:

  • Front-end and back-end development
  • Previous experience as an engineer within an e-commerce environment

Degree:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related field (Master's is a nice to have)
