Overview:
  • The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in facilitating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, generating financial reports, and ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and procedures. This position requires a background in public accounting and a CPA designation or progress towards obtaining one. The individual will collaborate across various departments within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and ensure timely completion of financial reporting tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations and income statement evaluations.
  • Design, implement, and uphold accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures to meet closing requirements, working collaboratively with FP&A, revenue operations, revenue accounting, and operational teams.
  • Manage accounting processes related to Partner fees, ACS 606 Commissions, Leases, Accruals, Fixed Assets, and Prepaid expenses.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders across the organization to foster collaboration.
  • Oversee the work of an accounting operations specialist.
  • Work cross-functionally with business partners, particularly FP&A, to provide financial insights and relevant reporting.
  • Support acquisition integration efforts.
Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is mandatory.
  • CPA certification or progress towards it is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is essential.
  • Experience in public accounting is a prerequisite.
  • Background in the technology sector is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and reporting requirements is necessary.
  • Familiarity with accounting for Fixed Assets, Accruals, Prepaids, Leases, and ACS 606 Commissions is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Experience with NetSuite is considered a plus.
