Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Architect to join our team in Auburn Hills, MI. The successful candidate will design and develop advanced drivetrain products for BorgWarner's global customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with business development, engineering, and production plants to ensure smooth product development and launch.
  • Participate in design reviews, plant introductions, and customer demonstrations to showcase the company's expertise.
  • Effectively communicate new ideas and concepts to engineering management and corporate staff to drive innovation.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, design, development, and software groups to create unique product solutions that meet customer needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in designing and developing automotive drivetrain products, preferably with a track record of launching new products into production.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Inventor or other 3D design software.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electronic, electro-magnetic actuators and their applications is highly desirable.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
